Columbia’s EquipmentShare proposes $120 million growth

Columbia-based mostly tools rental business EquipmentShare wants to expand with a flagship corporate office environment setting up experiencing Interstate 70 and a technology development centre, says former Mayor Brian Treece, the company’s vice president of system and progress.

The charge of the enlargement would full $120 million. In the very first year, the growth would increase 111 careers to the company’s existing 417-staff workforce in Columbia.

To do this, the firm is searching for forgiveness of 75% of home taxes for 10 a long time below Boone County’s Chapter 100 incentive.

Treece created the pitch Friday to the Chapter 100 Review Panel, which consists of reps from all taxing entities in the county.

“Our Chapter 100 coverage is the only one like it any where,” stated Dave Griggs, incentives committee chairman for Regional Economic Growth Inc.
